Current comments and reminiscences on Yuval Ne'eman:

I first met Yuval at Imperial College in March 1962; he had just finished his groundbreaking work on SU(3), an area which I had explored before coming to the West in 1961, and we instantly became close friends. On my first visit to Israel in 1962 (as well as on subsequent occasions) Yuval took me and my wife for a personal tour, and showed his deep knowledge of the land and its history. My scientific interests intersected his on many future occasions, and I have warm memories of my sabbatical at Tel Aviv University in 1971, and Yuval and Dvora's hospitality. The news of his premature departure cam as a great shock to me and my wife.
