Current comments and reminiscences on Marvin H. Wilkening:

 

I was saddened to learn in this month's issue of Physics Today that Dr. Wilkening had passed away in September. I worked in his office in the middle-late 1970s, where I was largely responsible for helping him in his capacity as Dean of Graduate Admissions with the processing of new graduate student admission applications. I remember Dr. Wilkening as a very gracious man and I am grateful for the wonderful work environment he provided for everyone in his office and lab. I will always remember him fondly. He will be missed.
