Current comments and reminiscences on James Paul Wesley:
Paul was at the University of Missouri‑Rolla for a number of years before leaving for Germany in the late '70s. He was the only "contrarian scientist" I have known and loved to challenge what many would say were well accepted physics concepts. He published the first paper challenging Weber's "gravitational data". He also wrote a book on Ecophysics long before it was fashionable (back in the '70s, I think?) I always enjoyed spirited discussions with him on physics issues.

Paul was a dear friend of my father Dr. Norman E. Levine. They both taught at UMR. They played endless hours of GO. He was also a brilliant artist and I am privileged to have one of his pieces hanging in my home.
