Current comments and reminiscences on Robert W. Bussard:

Robert W. Bussard
The Washington Post

Although I did not know Robert Bussard personally, his work with nuclear fusion is one of the original inspirations for me to go into physics. Thank you Mr. Bussard, perhaps your ideas and theories will come to full fruition one day.

Gerald

I was a person surely effected deeply by the man and his passing is a man moving to the future. His elegant theory for fusion as a space drive transmitted intentions of true space travel and his fusion reactor research was worthy of human recognition. I can only hope we can commit to his vision of the future.

Bob Bussard was a futurist in every sense of the word. The mystery surrounding Inesco's failure & the NRL's shameful foot dragging on refunding EMC2, speaks volumes about vested interests covering their posteriors at the expense of mankind. Now many are following in Bob's footsteps & some day soon will succeed in transforming our civilization, and taking us to the stars, where Bob Bussard's dream will shine like a beacon in the Milky Way.
