Current comments and reminiscences on Sidney Richard Coleman:
We all feel an intense loss at Sidney Coleman's departure from our world. But some of us are lucky to have encountered first-hand Sidney's brilliant insights into the most subtle physics, his masterful skill as a lecturer and teacher, his love for the department, and his keen and effervescent (if sometimes perverse) sense of humor. Our memories, helped by Sidney's writings, preserve the picture of a remarkable physicist and friend.

I remember him with great fondness and respect. He was one of the finest persons I have known. Memories: countless parties where his wit was well displayed. Countless hikes together. One thing most wouldnΓ t suspect is that Sid was a strong hiker. Maybe that came from his many years of going to Aspen for the summer? And he was certainly one of, if not the, smartest person I ever knew. Yet, he was unencumbered with much ego.
